Initial Examination
We look forward to making your intial visit fun and informative. You will have a chance to meet Dr Baker, our wonderful staff, tour the office and ask any questions you may have.
Your initial appointment will last about 40 minutes and will consist of a thorough examination and discussion of your or your child's orthodontic needs.
To start off, we will take digital photos of your teeth and face. We will also take digital X-rays as needed to help Dr. Baker see the condition of your teeth.
With these records Dr. Baker will show you what is going on with your teeth and what, if anything, needs to be changed. These close-up photos and X-rays can also be viewed on this website by logging in to the Patient Login with your personal access info.
During the initial examination, Dr. Baker will address the following questions that cover the basics of orthodontic treatment:
- Is there a condition that orthodontics can address?
- Is treatment needed now or should treatment be delayed until appropriate growth, tooth eruption or other factors have occurred?
- What treatment procedures will be used to correct the problem?
- What are your treatment options?
- What are your braces options?
- How long will treatment take?
- How much will it cost?
- What are my payment options?
Dr. Baker and her staff will help answer any other questions you may have.
Please be assured there will be no discomfort, only fun learning experience.
To help us learn about you, please bring your completed Health History Form, which is downloadable from this website. If you have one, please bring your Dental Insurance Card so we can check your orthodontic benefits.
