What Happens During the Examination

One of our orthodontic assistants will bring the patient to the clinical area in order to take digital photographs of the patient’s teeth and face. These will print out during the examination. After you start the treatment, you will be able to access the photographs on line, at www.drbakerortho.com. There is no charge for the photographs.

Dr. Baker will advise you of the following:

  • Whether there is a need for orthodontic treatment
  • Using the digital photographs, Dr. Baker will explain the dental and facial findings
  • When and how the problem should be addressed
  • Length of treatment time
  • Optimal timing for orthodontic treatment in a growing child

Please be assured that this examination does not involve any discomfort!

What's Next

If treatment is recommended, then development of a precise program, designed around your individual needs, will require a more thorough evaluation involving the following appointments:

Orthodontic X-Rays

We will give you a prescription for the necessary x-rays to be taken at an x-ray center where specialists use state of the art equipment and techniques. The cost is very low and the quality of the x-rays easily allow us to scan them into our computer.

Orthodontic Records
(Study Models)

At our office, we will take impressions of the teeth so that study models can be made to aid the doctor in diagnostic evaluation. If you desire to save time, the study models may be taken at your examination appointment.
